Hardware and software from a single source
We develop our AI models, software and industrial hardware in-house – and deliver a fully integrated system instead of individual components.
State-of-the-art AI software
Anomaly detection with heatmap analysis and an intuitive user interface that requires no specialist knowledge.
Precise defect detection
End-to-end integration of AI into your quality assurance – reliable even for the smallest material defects.
High-performance solutions
Latest GPU technology and zero-copy from the camera to the GPU: we process gigabits of raw data in real time – even at high production speeds.
Integrated AI systems
Modular solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing lines and third-party systems.
Spot defects before they become scrap
Our AI learns your product in minutes and highlights deviations with pixel-level precision as a heatmap – right at the line, with no cloud latency.
- Anomaly detectionCracks, holes, contamination, deformations and much more.
- Training without programmingTrain new products at the push of a button – detection becomes more accurate over time.
- Edge processingYour production data stays in your plant.

Empty-glass inspection
Tells genuine glass defects from embossings, also on custom and square bottles – at the finish, sidewall, base and mold number, for 15,000 to 120,000 bottles per hour.
Learn moreFull-bottle inspection
Fill level, closure, all-round label and coding of filled bottles – the AI separates the foam head from the liquid level and also inspects the bottle itself.

Frequently asked questions
Solutions & technology
What does Wahtari do?
Wahtari develops AI-powered optical inspection systems for industry – with mechanics, optics, electronics, AI and software from a single source. Its products include nScan for web and flat materials, nLine for cables, hoses and other extruded products, and nTire for the tire industry.
Can you also solve inspection tasks for which there is no product yet?
Yes. We develop complete inspection systems for tasks where standard solutions fail – from image capture through custom AI pipelines and our own AI models to the operator interface. Examples include the inspection of conveyor belts, logs, FFP2 masks, roof tiles and empty glass.
Which products and materials can be inspected?
Among others tires and wheels, cables and wires, hoses and pipes, textiles and nonwovens, films, sheet metal, batteries, packaging, paper, empty glass and logs. What matters is the inspection task – get in touch with us.
How fast is the analysis?
The analysis happens right at the line in 1 to 25 ms per image, depending on the system. Thanks to the latest GPU technology and zero-copy from the camera to the GPU, our systems process gigabits of raw data in real time.
How long does it take to teach in new products?
With Teach & Go, new products are taught in seconds to minutes. Every product is checked against a stored recipe – a new product needs a new recipe, not a new system.
Do our images and data leave the plant?
No. Images and inspection data are analyzed directly at the line and stay in your plant.
Does the system run on Windows?
No. Our systems run on Wahtari OS, our own operating system: read-only, signed with Secure Boot, without open ports and with updates only after your approval.
How does remote maintenance work, and can it be switched off?
Through the Wahtari Platform your devices can be reached via end-to-end encrypted WireGuard tunnels – only if you want. For maintenance you approve specific devices and a time window. A hardware switch on the machine disables remote access completely. Independent of that, the system can always be operated on your internal network.
How is the system connected to our line?
Via established industrial interfaces such as OPC UA, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, TCP/IP and REST API. Our systems can be integrated into existing lines and system concepts.
Working together
What does a project with Wahtari look like?
It takes five steps: we discuss your inspection task and advise you on possible solutions. In the proof of concept we develop a tailored solution and present the results on your parts. This is followed by setup and installation, integration into your line and systems, and commissioning. Finally, we train your team and keep optimizing the system.
How do we get in touch?
Write to us via the contact form or at info@wahtari.ai, or call us at +49 89 21 54 3000. One of our experts will get back to you shortly to discuss your inspection task.
What is the proof of concept?
In the proof of concept we develop a solution tailored to your inspection task and present the results on your own parts – before you decide on a system.
Does our production have to stop for the installation?
No. The hardware is installed without interrupting your ongoing production. We then connect the software to your existing line and systems.
What happens after commissioning?
We train your team and keep optimizing the system. Detection becomes more accurate over time. Support and updates are provided via the Wahtari Platform if you wish – only with your approval.
What happens when our products change?
A new product needs a new recipe, not a new system. New products are taught in seconds to minutes, and further checks can be added.
